Zune software is a digital media jukebox that enables you to organise your favorite music, videos, and pictures. You used to be able to use Zune software to locate music on Zune Music & Video Marketplace - but Zune Marketplace now no longer supports rental and purchases. I’ve read the original Zune 30 had a battery life of 12 hours music playback and that’s where my issue arises. My Zune 30gb through a pair of earbuds, volume 10, medium brightness, WiFi off, is getting a battery life of (maybe) 8 hours of continuous music playback. I’m a bit lost here, I’ve calibrated the battery I’m sure.

A digital music and video service from Microsoft for Windows PCs, Windows Phones and Xbox. Introduced in 2006, the Zune brand referred to the entire system, including a physical hardware player, software and music store. In late 2011, the hardware was dropped, but the software remained as the organizer and synchronizer for Windows Phone. Zune functionality was incorporated into Windows Phone just like the iPod was built into iPhones (see Zune software).Zune Hardware
